Disclaimer: Everything written here is my own honest, purely subjective
opinion fueled by nothing but genuine enthusiasm for the hobby. No bias just
one egg's unfiltered take. I'm not an expert, just a girl who's still in her
shell trying to crack this hobby open. Take it with a grain of salt.
Letshuoer started its operations in 2021. Letshuoer has been releasing summit-fi iem models like Cadenza 12 in the $2000 category and has been getting good praise. Letshuoer is also know for S12 series which is in another lower price bracket but with good performance

The Goods:
Letshuoer Mystic 8 is made from a titanium shell compacted
iem weighing 9 grams. It has a smooth texture with glossy sheen with cat design
for its “Phantom Cat” theme. To be honest, the black cat design at first, I
thought looks like a dolphin or some sort because they made the ears and tail
connected, forming the majority of the shape of the faceplate and I then
realize that it’s actually a cat. The cat also has diamond eyes. Aside from the
black part of the shell where they feature the cat, the inner layer of the
shell shines like a mirror with line that reminds me of Van Gogh’s Starry
Starry night lines but with wider lines.
This iem also comes with 8 stranded cable with only 2.5mm diameter for its main body. Honestly, I prefer e larger diameter cable. On the other hand, the cable is indeed light and easy to carry around. Overall, this gives a unique classy
The Comfort:
Beautifully crafted 8 BA drivers in a 9 grams shell says a lot on its construction. It feels a bit heavy but it fits my ears really well and I can use this for long period of time. I just feel like the cable can be a bit thicker to support its weight. It can improve a bit on the proportion. Seals pretty well even with stock eartips.
The Sound:
The longer I spend with the Mystic 8, the harder it gets to take off. The
curiosity of what the iem translate a specific song to is worth anticipating.
Four days of just sitting back, clearing my head, and letting it do its thing
is quite a good way to spend the holiday. Letshuoer Mystic 8 is something
neutral with bright tuning. On most tracks, you can also hear a full vocal
structure
Sound Signatures:
The Bass
Maybe this iem is called “Phantom Cat” for a reason. The bass feels like an
observing cat. Every movement precise, poise. You can feel its presence without
the weight of their paw-steps. Gentle and quick to disappear. The bass of the
Phantom Cat is supportive and not overly present, a bit understated to make
others shine
The Vocals
For the mids and vocals, this is where the fun begins. Imagine having a place to engage and play with the cat without restraint, in a field of sunflowers. The Phantom Cat plays with full attention and engaged, present, but never clingy, giving the vocals space and air while keeping everything clear, precise, and natural.
What this translates to is that this Mystic 8 delivers a very good vocal. Accuracy on female and male vocals can stretch to it’s highs and lows. One doesn’t overshadow that creates a harmony on the duet. I find this iem perfect for this popular Disney song, Love is an Open Door, very enjoyable track that harmonized well with Mystic 8.
..and The Treble
The treble is panther-like, extended without fatiguing, clear and assertive
without being aggressive in its natural habitat. It lingers only enough to make
an impression, even with its wild nature, elegance is still evident. The treble
is what’s making this iem enjoyable. While a lot are into neutral sound, adding
a little spice in everything nice is not so bad.
Even with grace and elegance, you want to avoid engaging
this iem in a cat fight. When everything is out there, nowhere to hide and
overstimulating, it turns something where everything wants more that it can
chew, clawing its way to you. This is evident on genre like EDM and fast heavy
bass where there is no where to breathe and treble might be too hot to handle
due to synth layering on the highs.
The Separation and Imaging:
Excellent separation as if each sound knows where to go. A free-spirited cat
likes to roam and it can go places. Mystic 8 gives you enough space but not to
far to be distant, within arm’s reach. It keeps you engaged and yearning. It
gives a performance where it gives room to every individual performing.
The Phantom Cat knows its place like a fed feline given the
right genre. It provides a masterful mapping of every element in the music; it
is respectful, ensuring every instrument knows exactly where it should be. They
don't bleed into one another, but instead harmonize accordingly. It is
territorial in its precision, yet everything works together to create a beautiful
performance. It gives a very immersive experience.
The Verdict:
Most of the genre, this iem can handle well. It fits the genre where instruments takes it time with moderate speed. I love it with R&B and Soul, brings out the best of Mystic 8. It catches the essence of the both ample bass punch and relaxed listening. You don’t feel rushed and just indulge and getting to know the iem well. It gives a very romantic vibe and turns the music into something that reminds you of autumn while drinking hot chocolate by the chimney. It has natural timbre where you can hear the instruments like the guitar, cymbals, flute, sax etc. all in their proper position. It makes the song engaging, more emotional, more intimate while feeling like you are in a concert hall.
While Im taking time and truly understand this iem, Im looking for a song that actually Mystic 8 cant handle and alas, Joyride by Astird S seems to have everything forward. It may be due to how the track is recorded but it feels very overwhelming. Mids and treble seems to be competing for your attention, like hungry cats. So choose the genre you listen to with this iem to get the most out of the experience.
