This IEM was sent by Pineapple Audio for review.
Disclaimer: Everything written here is my own honest, purely subjective opinion fueled by nothing but genuine enthusiasm for the hobby. No bias just one egg's unfiltered take. I'm not an expert, just a girl who's still in her shell trying to crack this hobby open. Take it with a grain of salt.
This is my 3rd Hidizs item review. Were pretty well verse with the
brand already. A little story about this IEM. Back in November 2025, went to my
first November Hifi Show and met with Pineapple Audio. The MY LIN was the first
IEM that piqued my interest in this hobby. It was the first actual IEM I tried
at the November HiFi Show, without knowing any impressions, sound signatures, or
even any terminologies. I think during this time, My Lin was on prototype or
for some reason, it just released this year. This is where my journey started.
My
Lin was officially released on May 12, 2026. It’s quite exciting to see this IEM being launched. They said this is a more refined version than Ms2 Pro. I believe so.

The Goods:
This IEM is a little more budget-fi than MP145 Pro. The accessories included are enough to plug and play. I love the overall theme of this IEM a gamer waifu Lin as main character. I remember someone did a cosplay of Lin during the November Hifi Show and she was the only cosplayer there. Anyhoo, the IEM itself looks really gorgeous, zinc alloy shell with shiny galactic faceplate, similar to the Hawk’s eye crystal sheen. Also, the typical Hidizs build includes 3 pneumonic nozzle where red is for balanced, black is low frequency and clear for high frequency. The box also includes 2 types of ear tips, black for balanced and white for high frequency. Note that I use red nozzle and white ear tips to avoid having this IEM sounding dark. I also wanted a bit more air and stage. The stock cable that they included is a 4.4mm 2 braided cable with a 4mm diameter body.
Special edition has a Lin waifu acrylic standee, My Lin microfiber cloth for keeping the IEM shiny as well as sticker emoji. It’s missing one sticker. We know who got it, we should ask the Pineapple..
I still prefer a more premium accessories, I think people will appreciate more like a simple modular cable would be nice.
The Comfort:
The weight of the IEM is quite light. Unlike the Ms2 Pro, My Lin fits really well and very comfortably. I’ve tried using it the whole day without any issues perfectly. The cable’s weight is also just right, not too light nor too heavy. I do notice that it has a bit of cable memory, finding it tangle from time to time. My Lin fits my ears well and it never fell off. I definitely like this over Ms2 Pro but would I say the same with the sound? Let’s find out.
The Sound:
Note: I have tried wide bore (Divinus Velvet), narrow bore (Final E ear tips) and regular. I will be sticking to Hidizs Sea Anemone for my preference. Narrow bore works for well to enhance bass and lessen treble, but it made the soundstage a little intimate. I also like to mention that I used XDuoo Link3 as one of my source.
Nozzles: Tested with white ear tips
Hidizs is known for their interchangeable nozzles. The difference is subtle. What affects the sound more are the ear tips that you use. This time the red nozzle isn’t for bass boost, it’s balanced. I will be using this throughout and refer to this set up for the whole review.
Sound Signatures:
The Bass:
The bass on the MY LIN is very enjoyable. It is cleaner and less
fatiguing with every drum hit feeling precise and intentional. Cold Blooded by
Jessi confirmed this early on where you can feel the thump without any piercing
thuds. No bloat, no muddiness, just controlled and satisfying low end.
For sub-bass I came across Bass Drops by Nenad Vasilic. The pluck of
the guitar strings on the lower notes sounds very natural. It decays slowly
without rushing to end the note, a good follow through that makes the song feel
more romantic.
Birds by Dominique Fils-Aimé verified this further. The woody resonance
of the bass strings comes through clearly and the texture of each pluck gives
the whole song its character.
The bass is not a half-done egg. Perfectly cooked all the way through.
The Vocals:
The vocals on My Lin are quite recessed. It sounds floating rather than
weighted. This is noticeable on Die For You by Weeknd and Ariana Grande. I
noticed Weeknd’s part has an airy and soothing quality even if feels like he’s
in front of you. Ariana’s voice has more physicality and a bit fuller. With the
nature of Ariana’s voice, high pitched and bright, you notice a few peaks but
they’re tolerable. My Lin can handle the highs better. It still gives a warm
vibe for this song. With that said, the duet perfectly mixed together. The
instruments are slightly pushed forward, it may sound overpowering when you
prefer a mid-centric genre and IEM.
Another song I came across is when the party’s over by Billie Eilish where her voice is warm and sounds cozy. It may sound a little colored but not too much. It sill has the Eilish voice signature.
..and The Treble:
The quality of an IEM in handling treble is very important to me. I
enjoy less peaky highs to be able to achieve longer listening hours.
On calmer songs, the treble feels inoffensive and very easy to listen
to. However, Make It All Better by Holly Humberstone made the treble in the
4kHz to 8kHz range more revealing. Her voice sits right in that region, and
this song was a bit harder to listen to without fatigue. It builds up over
time.
Better Anyway by Lauren Sanderson helped verify this further. You can
hear her voice squeak as part of her singing style, and at those moments the
vocals produce a sharpness that may not agree with sensitive listeners.
Treble in the lower region below 4kHz is smoother than most budget-fi I have tried. This IEM also runs warmer than brighter, making it more tolerable overall. This is not a harsh IEM to begin with, but it does reveal peaks on certain tracks. Listeners who are sensitive up top may want to be mindful of vocals heavy tracks with sharp production.
The Separation and Imaging:
Hidizs My Lin has very good separation. It’s very capable. I think this is the reason why it’s good for gaming. I haven’t tried this for gaming yet as I play FPS games and I need a proper earphones/headphone with microphone. The separation is accurate where it can pin point individual elements. The song I use to listen to separation is Bubbles by Yosi Horikawa. A lot of things are happening here and I mean there are a lot of things being used to produce the sound. You can hear the marbles falling from certain places, chimes can be heard on the background and others distinctively.
The song I use to test imaging is another one by Yoshi Horikawa, Wandering. I can easily pin point where the bird sound is located, somewhere behind and on the background, chirping while the main elements and sounds play. The instruments stay in front as the main show. The stage however is quite intimate. Picture a tray of eggs where the eggs are placed on their own spot yet being close together.
With the xDuoo Link3 attached, I heard the staged widen. It also smoothened peaks. Given the bright nature of Fiio M21, pairing this with Link 3 on My Lin makes these a perfect combination.
The Verdict:
My Lin is a warm V-shaped IEM. I think it’s a good IEM under $100. I
personally prefer using affordable IEMs as this helps with my daily lifestyle.
Going to the office via commute without music isn’t fun. Nothing to sing along
to and hearing everyone chatter. My Lin is very flexible when it comes to
bringing it anywhere.
The only thing that HIdizs need to adjust are the peaks. The Hidizs My Lin is tuned according to my preference so I’m quite biased with this IEM. I also enjoy using this with my classical music, lower end thumpy rap songs and some dark pop. I would need to try this on Valorant.
Overall, I would use this as my daily driver, everyday commute battles, office scene or grocery run.
